# IfLiked

> If you liked a movie—or just a vibe—get recs.

IfLiked is a one-page movie recommendation engine at https://ifliked.com. Users (and agents) describe a film they liked or a mood/vibe; the server retrieves catalog candidates and ranks them, then returns poster, title, year, and TMDB overview text.

## Primary API

- **Query:** `vibe` — required string, 2–180 characters (trimmed). Examples: `Parasite`, `slow burn sci-fi`, `cozy comedy`.
- **Auth:** none (public).
- **Rate limit:** ~40 requests per minute per IP; HTTP `429` returns `{ "movies": [] }`.
- **Response:** `application/json`

Overviews are from TMDB only (no LLM-generated blurbs). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed by TMDB.

## WebMCP (in-browser tools)

When loaded in a WebMCP-capable browser, https://ifliked.com registers page tools via `document.modelContext.registerTool` (no hosted MCP server):

- `search_movies` — `{ vibe }` → same JSON as `GET /api/search` (read-only; subject to the same rate limits).
- `get_site_info` — site summary plus links to this file, OpenAPI, and the homepage (read-only).
- `fill_search` — `{ vibe }` fills the homepage search field and triggers the normal UI search (optional convenience).
